Selected works by children in grades 4-12 will be featured in the Carbon County Young Artists Show at Bear Mountain Butterflies, Route 903 and Church Road, Penn Forest Township.

Students from all of Carbon County's public and private schools and those living in the county but attending school outside the county, have been invited to participate.

The exhibit will open on Thursday, June 3 and there will be a cake and punch reception from 7-9 p.m. The art work will be displayed in the new classroom of the Kite Wing at Bear Mountain Butterflies through June 6.

Some of the children have agreed to donate their work to be "auctioned" off during the Wings of Hope Celebration at Bear Mountain Butterflies on Saturday, June 5. All proceeds from the "auction" will benefit the new Blue Ridge Chapter of Dream Come True, an organization which seeks to fulfill the dreams of children who are seriously, chronically, and terminally ill.
